Couple of weeks ago, my friends from Austin visited Seattle so we met up in the heart of Fremont to spend some time before they were off to their next destination.
Shannon and Brandon are traveling the US on their motorcycle and they inspired me to write that down on my bucket list. I met the couple when I was living in Austin and they are pretty amazing people. They are genuine, kind, and inspiring.
They kickstarted their motorcycle trip by leaving earlier than their scheduled date of sometime in 2015 and just went for it. Seeing them as they arrived in their motorcycles with all their belongings packed in the back made me feel happy for the awesome journey that they are on. The first thing we did was to take a tour of the Theo Chocolate Factory. Theo Chocolate is the first organic and fair trade chocolate factory in North America. The tour was $10 per person which included an hour tour with lots of samples and a chocolate bar! We learned so much about how the chocolate is made and why we should make conscious decisions when buying products so that we can support the right people. All of us had a really good time and learned about what we love, chocolate.
We ended the day by going up to see the night view at the famous Seattle landmark, Space Needle. I love seeing the night skyline! Good luck to Shannon and Brandon on the rest of their journey!
